”“Classical Pilates, which is what we teach at the Pilates and Wellness Center by Bernadette, is the purest form and is based directly on Joseph H. Pilates’ authentic teachings as taught to us by Romana Kryzanowska, who started as a student of Joseph H. Pilates. Unlike other forms of Pilates, which rely on gimmicks, we teach you the exercises in the same way as intended by Joseph H. Pilates and on the same equipment that he invented.

”“The Pilates Reformer is the most well known piece of Pilates equipment. It is a bed-like frame with a moveable carriage where you perform various exercises and stretching. It is an excellent way of exercising without hurting the joints while strengthening muscles. Our reformer classes (max. 5 people) involves 55 minutes of guided instruction, moving continuously from one exercise to the next. Please note that all classes must be pre-booked.

”“Generally speaking, moderate exercise is safe throughout a normal, healthy pregnancy and many gentle Pilates exercises are appropriate. However, you must already have prior Pilates experience as well as a doctor’s clearance.
